Down-the-Hole Hammers are used to penetrate that hard condensed rock. It is the fastest way to drill these hard layers. DTH Hammers are attached to the end of drill rods just like a drill bit would be. It is also highly recommended to use a Shock Sub when operating DTH Hammers with your drill rig to help reduce vibrations that could cause damage to the tophead drive.
DTH Hammers require large volume, high pressure air compressors to operate. The size of compressor needed would depend mainly on the size of hammer being used, borehole depth and diameter. Also drill rod size and if foam is being used also determines the air flow needed.
Here we sale Drill King hammers that are manufactured right here in the USA.
Drill King Hammers have a unique airflow design which maximizes performance. This give you more power down the hole.
